WhitePress is in a good sense simple, light subtle colored, two column, free WordPress theme with fixed width by Sencer Bugrahan Yilmaz and Ali Bahsisoglu on onlyWP.com – a new site which will begin to release premium WordPress themes in the close future.
It is so very easy to like the WhitePress theme. The magazine stylish frontpage with the light, tasteful, color scheme and the nifty slider on the top and clean design are some attractive attributes of the theme. And the theme administration panel with fairly many options adds some extra points positive karma to the overall good first impression of the theme (see a preview of the options page below).

With all that positive said – this is only our first impression and we have not tested the theme under some more serious conditions. But we are surprised of the quality’s of this theme and we haven’t discovered any reports of obviously serious bugs.
WhitePress Special Widgets
Although there is already widgets on the market that provide you with these functions, the WhitePress theme has four (4) special widgets with the following functions:
- WhitePress About Me: Introduce yourself to your visitors. Activate it from the options page and then add short info about yourself with your 64 x 80 picture.
- WhitePress Categories: You can show your categories in two columns through this Widget. No settings whatsoever are required.
- WhitePress Featured: Show posts from the featured category, which you choose from your theme options page, in your sidebar.
- WhitePress Sponsors: Show up to four 125 x 125 banners, which you can set up from the theme options page.
As we earlier wrote, you could achieve similar result with already existing widgets, but it is a nice touch by the developers to make some theme specific widgets – it witness of quality thinking and anticipated value in their future premium themes.

I just installed this nice theme!
However, I would like the post in wordpress to show the full content (incl. pictures). Now its only showing a short of the post and then with a button that says Read more to open the full post.
Can you please tell me how to change that?

Oscar: I don’t remember how to set featured image in that specific theme. But you could try this: look to the right column on the post edit page, find “Featured Image” and add an image for the post you want to feature. I’m not sure this will work, but it doesn’t harm to try.
