I get this message: ‘Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in F:\xampp\htdocs\Landing Pages WP\10-SalesletterThemes\WP-Salesletter-Black\index.php on line 1′. What can I do to make it running?
i still cant make it seem to work for me. can you kindly give a step2x instruction?
I downloaded it. Then i went to appearance > clicked themes> uploaded it > then when i previewed nothing was there and it gave a warning that it was missing something..

Dan: It is a long time since I worked with these themes, and I am taking the answer straight from my memory.
1. Fill in your headlines and add your link in “WP Theme Options”.
2. Go to your WordPress dashboard > Categories. Create a category named “salesletter”.
3. Add a new post (your landing page) and add it to the category “salesletter”.
If I remember correct, thats all!
If you get some strange error message about the headers: open the themes folder, find functions.php, open it and go to the bottom of the code and remove all whitespace after <?php } ?>.

Hello, where do you actually upload the landing page’s content after you’ve installed the theme? I can see WP theme options but beyond that, where do I fill up the page with content? Thanks for these themes!
Cara: These themes are for the WordPress platform. But the layout and design are not suitable for normal blogging – many people use WordPress exclusively for creating of landing pages (easily) and these themes are exactly right for them. If you already have a theme you like and need an easy way to create landing pages, then you need a landing page template compatible with your theme. Note: the download “10 Free WordPress Landing Page themes” are themes, not templates.
How to put these themes online? Unzip and upload the chosen theme to your WordPress theme folder. In WordPress – go to Appearance> Themes and activate the theme (you can also preview the theme from there).
I recommend you to install WordPress locally – then you can experiment with themes, templates and plugins as much as you wish without risking your online blog. You can find instructions on how to do that here: Install WordPress On Your Computer.

I just downloaded your 10 Free WordPress Landing Page themes. I am very new to blogging and was delighted when I found your site. However, the .txt file states:
This theme is for landing pages or squeeze pages only (not for normal blogging)
Do Not install this theme on your traditional WP blog.
Which leaves me completely mystified. I thought I was downloading templates that I could use with my WordPress blog.
Also, I am completely lost because there are no directions for how to put these templates online. In addition, there is no index.html file for any of the 10 templates, so there is no way to view them. Can you please explain how to use these free templates? Thanks.
Jon: You have absolutely right – there is no OpenThis.html in the folder. I apologize as much as I blush – I messed up with an earlier download package we did, but I will try to make some image previews as soon as possible.
Good that you discovered and told me about this mistake.
When extracting the zip, OpenThis.html does not appear in the files. Unless I’m doing something wrong…
