One of the days on Facebook I run into a page called Fiverr. The page is an extension of the site Fiverr (still in Beta). A new community style marketplace for earning and spending some money in a bit more relaxed way. Or as they describe themselves: “Fiverr is a place for people to share things they’re willing to do for $5″.

The idea of the site feels very sympathetic. Get a job done for as little as 5$, or earn some extra cash with your unused skills. And some of the services (called Gigs by the community) offered on Fiverr are surprisingly useful.

The services offered on the site are divided in a few categories: Funny and Bizarre, Social Marketing, Graphics, Advertising, Technology, Business, Programming and one category for miscellaneous called Other.

What You Can Find On Fiverr

Below you see some examples of what you can find on the Fiverr marketplace. The descriptions come from the service providers and we don’t know the quality of the works since we haven’t tested them. A good idea could be to read the feedback from buyers.

Send me a high resolution image and tell me which object you need extracted from it. I will send you back a photoshop PSD or PNG file with the object you want surrounded by transparent background.

The service base is not so extensive yet, but the idea of the site is fun and potentially useful. It is a marketplace we hope will grow and be online many years into the future.

While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic flows, many sites don’t have the resources that others have. But you really don’t have to spend a cent - all you need is a lot of eagerness, the proper mindset, the drive and perseverance to do hard work and research.

Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer.

There exist also specific traffic communities, or Traffic Exhanges, you can use to boost your traffic. For every site that you visit you get one (depending on the exchange rate) visitor in return.

Traffic and marketing community

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people.

Another idea is trading links (Link Exchange) with other sites. You have to reach an agreement with another webmaster, or use some of the many Link Exchange services on internet. This works very good especially when both sites feature the same niche.
